FITNESS ENGLISH LIST 1.0

Whether you’re after laughs, fast spins, or massive multipliers, chicken road game gambling offers a refreshingly interactive alternative to traditional slot machines. On this page we will put various resources related to the new Fitness English List (Browne, C. & Culligan, B., 2020), also known as the FEL. Originally developed for a chain of English-medium gyms in Japan, we have been given permission to share our research and NGSL-compatible word list with the general public (the chain of gyms is using a different version of the list that does not include the NGSL). Based on a 9.7 million word corpus of various fitness-related texts, websites and YouTube channels, the 600 words of the FEL gives up to 98% coverage of common fitness materials when combines with the 2800 words of the NGSL.

As with our NGSL and other word lists, we will be working hard to create and support the creation of a wide range of free tools for students, teachers, researchers and materials developers to better utilise the FEL. The FEL is made available to you under the least restrictive Creative Commons license, meaning you are free to use or modify the list in any way you see fit as long as you give proper citation to the authors of the list.
